Eruption disorders caused by abnormal position of a tooth bud, too narrow jaw or childhood injury create the necessity for orthodontic therapy that brings the tooth into the arch. This procedure most often concerns canine teeth.

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and consists in defining the position of the tooth on the basis of radiological diagnostics, surgical denudation of the tooth and attaching orthodontic brackets. With the use of specialtraction devices, the orthodontist brings the tooth into the arch (read more -> orthodontics).
